Jasmine Sandlas, the renowned Dhurandhar singer, has found herself at the centre of an online controversy following her recent performance in Ahmedabad. A clip from the concert has gone viral, sparking widespread debate among fans and social media users. The video shows Sandlas energetically performing on stage, pouring water over herself mid-performance, but notably, appears to be lip-syncing to her hit track Shararat.

The concert, which was part of her tour, saw Sandlas engaging with the crowd in Gujarati and delivering a high-energy set. However, the spectacle of her lip-syncing and the dramatic act of drenching herself with water has overshadowed the show itself, leading to a wave of criticism online.

Many attendees expressed their disappointment on social media, alleging that the performance relied heavily on pre-recorded tracks rather than showcasing her live singing abilities. Fans who attended the event voiced their frustration, having expected a stronger live vocal performance. The criticism grew as the clip circulated widely across various social media platforms.

One user on X remarked, "Half the song was SUNG BY THE PUBLIC, so will we get half the money BACK?" Another added, "I thought she was at least sweating from making an effort of dancing, so that was water all along. Plus lip syncing. What was the effort put in (sic)." A third user commented, "My only issue is that in none of the concert videos she is actually singing. It’s all lip sync which sucks for a live concert (sic)."

Sandlas continues to enjoy popularity, particularly following the success of the Dhurandhar film series, directed by Aditya Dhar, which remains a box office hit even after 30 days of release. The singer also recently spoke about battling alcoholism in an interview.

Known as the 'Gulabi Queen', Sandlas was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, and raised in California. She has also lent her voice to the track Yaar Na Miley from Salman Khan's film Kick.
