Shah Rukh Khan revisited his iconic Om Shanti Om speech after The Academy shared a clip, winning fans with his witty response. Up next, the actor is lining up new projects, including a reported cameo in Raaka and his film King.
Leave it to Shah Rukh Khan to turn a throwback into a moment. After The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences shared a clip of his iconic Om Shanti Om speech, the actor responded with his trademark wit, saying he now feels like the “King of the world”.
The Academy posted a snippet of the film’s much-loved monologue with the caption, “One thing about destiny... it doesn't miss (sic).” The scene, set during an awards night sequence in the film, remains one of Shah Rukh’s most quoted moments.
And SRK clearly enjoyed the nostalgia trip. Reposting the clip on social media, he wrote, “Thank you The Academy for sending me down memory lane with Om’s speech. Now I truly feel like the King of the world. Ha ha (sic).”

Directed by Farah Khan, Om Shanti Om released in 2007 and marked the Bollywood debut of Deepika Padukone. The film, also starring Arjun Rampal and Shreyas Talpade, went on to become a major box office success and a pop culture favourite.

Actor Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly set to make a brief appearance in Allu Arjun’s Raaka, reuniting with director Atlee after Jawan. According to sources, the cameo stems from his association with Atlee, Allu Arjun and Deepika Padukone. An official confirmation is still awaited.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh will next be seen in King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also stars Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone, alongside Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat and Raghav Juyal. There is also buzz around Anil Kapoor and Rani Mukerji joining the cast, though this remains unconfirmed.
