When Aamir Khan said that marriage may not suit him at 60
Aamir Khan is set to formalise his relationship with Gauri Spratt in an intimate registered marriage. The development has revived his earlier remark that getting married at 60 would not suit him.

Actor Aamir Khan, who is set to formalise his relationship with Gauri Spratt in a close-knit ceremony, had once said that marriage would not suit him at 60. The actor, now 61 and Gauri, 47, are expected to have only their families and a small group of close friends present for the registered marriage.
While introducing Gauri to the media in 2025, Aamir said, "See, we are fully committed. And I have been married twice. Par ab 60 saal ki umar mein shaadi shayad mujhe shobha nahi degi (Now getting married at 60 wouldn't suit me). But let's see."
Khan had also told the media that he was comfortable speaking about their relationship, and said with a laugh that he would not mind if they joined the couple for coffee. "We are committed now, and we felt we were secure enough in each other to tell you guys. And this is better, I won't have to hide things now. Tomorrow, if I go for a coffee with her, you guys can join us, too," he added.
Sources close to the actor recently said that the couple had only recently decided to formalise their relationship, as reported by India Today. "They are both in a secure place and only wanted to celebrate their bond. They have already started preparations for the wedding, which will be an intimate event attended by family and close friends," the source said.
In an interview with Navbharat Times, Aamir had also said, "I am very fortunate that I met Gauri, and our relationship started together. She is great; I feel at peace with her."
"Although my relationships with ex-wives Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta were also very deep, things didn't work out. When you asked, I felt that I was very blessed that Gauri entered my life. We are very happy together. Mujhe lagta hai ab jaake mai mukammal hua hu (I feel complete today)," he added.
Although the guest list has not been officially confirmed, industry buzz suggests that Aamir's friends and fellow superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan could be among the attendees, depending on their availability. The couple is also said to be entering this new chapter with the support of both their families.
Aamir was earlier married to Reena Dutta, with whom he has two children, Junaid and Ira. He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao, and the former couple have a son, Azad. Aamir and Kiran announced their separation in 2021.
On the professional front, Aamir Khan was last seen in Sitaare Zameen Par. The film was directed by RS Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan Productions.
He is also producing director Rajkumar Santoshi's Lahore 1947, featuring Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta and Karan Deol in key roles.
