Vriddhi Cinemas shared a statement on Instagram which read, "Firstly, thank you all for the wonderful response to our songs and glimpses. We’re truly happy to see the love and excitement for Peddi. The talkie part of the film is complete, and we only have one song left to be shot. We’ve seen the edit of the film, and we’re extremely happy with the output (sic)."
Explaining the delay, the production team shared that they wanted to give their technicians more time to achieve "absolute perfection" in post-production. Driven by a desire to deliver a top-tier cinematic experience, the makers mentioned that the high quality of the footage deserves the best possible presentation, necessitating a brief extension to the release timeline.
"So, we’ve decided to push the release of the film to June. The exact date will be announced very soon. Thank you for your continued support and patience. It truly means a lot to us. Team PEDDI (sic)," the statement concluded.
Apart from Ram Charan, Peddi also features actors, Janhvi Kapoor, and Jagapathi Babu in key roles. The recent release of the poster, titled Peddi Pehelwan showcased Ram Charan as a wrestler, receiving widespread acclaim.
The film's promotional content, including teasers and songs such as Chikiri Chikiri and Rai Rai Raa Raa, has captivated audiences, with the former amassing over 200 million views. The latter has also enjoyed significant success online, further stoking excitement for the film.
