A Dog, a Breakup and a High Court Battle — Are Pets Property or Family?

 over custody of their pet Rottweiler, Henry, has reached the Delhi High Court. Beyond this high-profile case lies a bigger issue:

 In India, pets are legally treated as property, but if pets are family in our hearts, shouldn’t the law start treating them that way too?
