Deepika Padukone on Mental Health And Battling Depression

Kangana Ranaut had lashed out at Deepika Padukone over the use of drugs in Bollywood. She mocked Deepika’s depression awareness campaign and said that it is likely a consequence of drug abuse. However, let’s take a look back at how Deepika opened about her depression and spread awareness regarding the same. She has time and again talked about how her own struggle encouraged her to work towards spreading awareness on mental health. She in fact is the founder of Live Love Laugh foundation that helps people suffering from depression. Talking about her battle with depression on India Today India Tomorrow with Rajdeep Sardesai, Deepika said, "There is this perception that if you have everything - fame, money, family - why should one be depressed.
