In December 2017, superstar Rajinikanth announced his entry into Tamil Nadu politics. His fans have rallied together for the Rajini Makkal Mandram and have been doing a bit of groundwork but all this without any specific details of Rajini's political ideology or his political roadmap.
Posters were put up by these fans urging Rajini to officially enter politics but there was immediately an order to remove these posters leading to questions on whether Rajini has changed his mind and won't contest the 2021 elections.
