Tokyo Paralympics: Avani Lekhara becomes first Indian woman to win gold medal

Shooter Avani Lekhara becomes the first Indian woman to win a gold medal at the Paralympics. She won gold in the women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1 event in Tokyo Paralympics. At the age of 11, she suffered spinal cord injuries in a car accident in 2012 and lost her legs. But the spirit continued. Later in 2015, she took up shooting.
