Vedanta Group chairman Anil Agarwal’s eldest son, Agnivesh Agarwal, has died at the age of 49 after suffering a cardiac arrest in New York while recovering from a skiing accident. A day later, Agarwal reiterated his long-standing pledge to give away more than 75% of his personal wealth, saying philanthropy was a shared dream he and his son often spoke about — renewing debate on wealth, legacy and giving in corporate India.
