What proposal to tax digital assets mean for crypto investors in India

In her Budget 2022 speech, FM Sitharaman proposed that any income from the transfer of any virtual digital asset will be taxed at the rate of 30 per cent. Apart from the 30 per cent tax, FM Sitharaman announced 1 per cent Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) on payments made on the transfer of digital assets, said FM Sitharaman.
