Attacker confesses he stabbed Jagan Reddy to garner public sympathy for him

Jagan Mohan Reddy, the leader of Andhra Pradesh's opposition YSR Congress party, was attacked with a sharp weapon at Vishakhapatnam airport Thursday afternoon. He did not suffer any critical injuries.

The attacker was arrested and has been booked under IPC section 307. In his confession to the police, the attacker, self-proclaimed fan of Reddy, said that he wants to see Reddy become the next chief minister, so he attacked hm in order to garners more public sympathy for him.
