CAA protests: Was violence instigated?

The Uttar Pradesh Police have booked 21,500 people in 15 FIRs lodged at various police stations across Kanpur for the violence that erupted in the city over the weekend. The violence happened during the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Following the violent protests that broke out in Lucknow's Parivartan Chowk on Thursday, Yogi Adityanath said the losses incurred by the government will be recovered from those who were behind the vandalism.
