Today Supreme court is likely to rule over several contentious issues regarding the extent of authority of the Delhi government versus that of the Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal on administrative matters.

Today the supreme court is expected to dwelve into issues which will include the validity of appointments, transfer postings to various services, enquiry orders etc. by the Delhi government.

Delhi CM Kejriwal has accused Lt Governor and his predecessor Najeeb Jung of preventing the functioning of his government at the behest of BJP-led central government.

Opposition leaders gathered on Wednesday for the third time in less than a month - first for a rally and later, a meeting - in a show of strength and unity against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP.
