BJP's central leadership swings into action in Karnataka

It is no longer a secret that the Karnataka unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is facing an internal turmoil. The rumbling within the party is out in the open with several BJP MLAs expressing their displeasure with Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa's style of functioning.

Faced with this challenge, the BJP's central leadership has sent Rajya Sabha MP Arun Singh on a three-day mission to Karnataka to handle the crisis.

Besides being a Rajya Sabha MP, Arun Singh wears several other hats. All eyes are on him as he holds closed-door meeting with a range of BJP leaders during his important visit to the state starting Wednesday.
