EC to hear poll code violation case, NIA arrests Kerala-based Islamic State terror plotter

The Election Commission will hear the violation of model code of conduct (MCC) complaints against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah today, the poll body said.

The National Investigation Agency on Monday arrested Riyas Aboobacker, alias Abu Dujana, who was believed to be planning to carry out suicide attacks in Kerala. The 29-year-old man, originally a resident of Palakkad in Kerala, confessed that he was radicalised a few years ago.
