EC announces Lok Sabha election dates, result on May 23

The Election Commission on Sunday announced that the Lok Sabha election 2019 will be held from April 11 to May 19 and the results will be declared on May 23. The assembly elections in Arunachal Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim and Odisha will be held along with the Lok Sabha polls.

In other reports, the National Investigation Agency has issued summons to top Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Naseem Geelani for questioning related to 2017 Jammu and Kashmir terror funding case.
