Mark Carney, a 59-year-old Harvard graduate and former central banker with no prior political experience, has been chosen as Justin Trudeau's successor as the leader of Canada's ruling Liberal Party. Carney, who has previously criticized Donald Trump and once likened him to Harry Potter villain Lord Voldemort, was elected on Sunday after winning a party nominating contest.
