PM attacks Congress in Lok Sabha; Amit Shah in Kashmir today; more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched a counter-offensive against the Congress in the Lok Sabha reminding the main Opposition party of imposition of Emergency 44 years ago. The prime minister was responding to the Congress's repeated charge that the Modi government is trying to crush the voices of dissent.

Meanwhile, Union Home minister Amit Shah will be in Jammu and Kashmir today on a two-day visit ahead of the commencement of Amarnath Yatra. Amit Shah will chair a high level security review meeting pertaining to the security arrangements made to ensure an incident free Yatra this year, which begins on July 1 and ends on August 15.
