PM Modi in Varanasi today; Delhi imposes curbs ahead of Christmas, New Year; more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi on Thursday and launch multiple development initiatives, including inaugurating and laying the foundation stones of 22 projects worth over Rs 870 crore, his office said on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, as Omicron coronavirus cases in India's national capital rise, the Delhi government on Wednesday issued fresh restrictions to control the spread of the virus. The Delhi government has banned mass gatherings during Christmas and New Year.
