US President Donald Trump has once again asserted that India will “completely stop” purchasing oil from Russia, even as New Delhi maintains that its energy choices are based on national interests. Speaking aboard Air Force One on Saturday, Trump claimed that while China is significantly reducing Russian oil imports, India has halted them entirely, citing the latest U.S. sanctions on Russian energy giants Rosneft and Lukoil.
