After Rahul Gandhi's resignation as Congress chief, trouble mounts for 134-year-old party

Ever since the Congress's poor performance in 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the political drubbings have heightened the sense of despair in the party.

While taking responsibility for the Congress's defeat in the elections, party president Rahul Gandhi resigned from his post. Around 200 Congress leaders, including some party veterans, sacrificed their posts considering themselves partisan to the defeat.
