Amit Shah says face recognition tech used to identify Delhi rioters: Is it the best way to move forward?

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in Lok Sabha, said face-recognition software have been used to identify at least 1,100 people who were involved in Delhi violence that killed over 40 people.

"We are using face-recognition software to identify people behind the violence. We have also fed Aadhaar, driving license data into this software. The software has identified 1100 people, 300 of these people came from UP to carry out violence," Amit Shah said.
