CAA protests: Muslim cleric apologises for violence in Muzaffarnagar

A Muslim cleric, Maulana Kalimullah, from Muzaffarnagar apologised for the violence in the Uttar Pradesh city during protests against Citizenship (Amendment) Act.

Earlier, 48 people were arrested and 67 shops sealed in connection with violent protests in Muzaffarnagar last week during which several persons, including over a dozen policemen, were injured and vehicles gutted.
