Karnataka govt in the dock as India Today busts beef mafia

The incident happened during a raid on an illegal slaughterhouse in Kodipalya village in Karnataka's Ramnagar district on Tuesday, where bones, skulls, calf intestines were found lying on the ground along with pools of blood. As 71 calves were being rescued, an angry mob gathered outside and attacked our reporter.

India Today reporter was brutally beaten by meat mafia outside, stones were pelted at him, he was threatened for murder and his phone was broken. He very easily could have been lynched. This incident took place in front of the cops, who were also attacked and was caught on camera by the journalist. An FIR has been lodged against seven accused for illegal slaughter but no action has been taken for the assault on our reporter.
