3 ISIS operatives arrested by Gujarat ATS; Delhi chokes amid worsening air pollution

A doctor was among three ISIS operatives arrested by the Gujarat ATS for allegedly preparing ricin, a deadly toxin, and scouting crowded public spots as potential attack sites. Over six months, he reportedly surveyed Delhi’s Azadpur Mandi, Ahmedabad’s Naroda fruit market, and the RSS office in Lucknow, chosen for their heavy crowds and public activity.

Delhi’s worsening air pollution has sparked protests at India Gate and disrupted the city’s economy, especially as the peak wedding season begins. Brijesh Goyal, Chairman of the Chamber of Trade and Industry, said businesses are suffering and urged PM Modi to hold a joint meeting with Chief Ministers and Environment Ministers of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, UP, and Rajasthan to find a lasting solution.
