Tanishq withdraws advertisement after social media backlash

Tata's jewellery brand Tanishq has decided to withdraw an advertisement for its new festive line Ekatvam after it landed on the receiving end of backlash for portraying inter-faith marriages. In a statement, Tanishq said, "We are deeply saddened with the inadvertent stirring of emotions and withdraw this film keeping in mind the hurt sentiments and well being of our employees, partners and store staff."
