BS Yeddyurappa today resigned as Karnataka chief minister, just two days after taking oath. Yeddyurappa quit as CM before a trust vote that had been ordered by the Supreme Court. In an emotional speech, a teary-eyed Yeddyurappa admitted he did not have the numbers.
Kumaraswamy after meeting the Governor said that both JDS and Congress will form new government in Karnataka. The swearing-in ceremony will be held on Monday. MLAs from both the parties will be present.
The Congress-JDS combine has invited senior leaders from BJP as well.
