Aarey protest: Why can't metro shed be made outside forest area?

During a debate at India Today TV, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Shaina NC on Monday listed down some of the reason why the location of metro rail shed can't be shifted to a different location at this point of time.

She said, "The carbon footprint incurred by the cars which pass the area on a daily basis is much more than the felling of 2000 trees."

However, the environmentalists remain adamant on saving the depleting environment and continue to stress on severe climate change today.
