Battle for Bihar: Covid vaccine for votes?

Six days before the first phase of Bihar elections, pandemic politics has taken centerstage with BJP's free Covid vaccine promise to everyone in the state.

As soon BJP announced free coronavirus vaccine to all, the Opposition parties lashed out at the saffron party over its "vaccine for votes" promise.

Attacking the BJP, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) said the saffron party was using the Covid-19 pandemic for politics and "selling the fear of death". While Congress leader Rahul Gandhi mocked the BJP statement and called it a "false poll promise".
