Bihar poll debacle a wakeup call for Congress?

After the huge letdown in Bihar where Congress brought down the performance of Mahagathbandhan, costing its shot to topple the NDA government, Kapil Sibal said in an interview that there is still no introspection in the party.

Kapil Sibal came down heavily on the Congress leadership, saying there has been no word from the party on its abysmal performance in the Bihar assembly election in which Congress’s seat tally went down further compared to the 2015 election.

Meanwhile, RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari has slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the manner in which the Congress party functioned during the recent Bihar assembly election.

Tiwari's comments came days after the Mahagathbandhan failed to win the Bihar polls even after RJD secured 75 seats to become the single-largest party. Congress, which was a part of the opposition grand alliance, managed to win just 19 seats in comparison.
