Is the oxygen supply situation getting better or not?

The Centre on Friday told the Supreme Court that there is enhanced production of oxygen in the country, from about 6,000 MT per day in August 2020 to 9,000 MT till date.

The coronavirus situation in India continues to remain grim. Delhi on Thursday saw 395 deaths due to coronavirus, the highest since the pandemic began a year ago. Even as cases surge, several states, including Punjab, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh have said they do not have sufficient doses of vaccine for the inoculation of those in the 18-44 age group, and indicated that they may miss the May 1 launch date of the drive.
