Mumbai Police exposes mega news TRP scam: Ratings fixed for propaganda?

The Mumbai Police today exposed a mega television ratings rigging racket. It alleged that Republic TV and two Marathi channels were manipulating TRPs by bribing households to keep their channels on through the day.

Mumbai Police further said that the promoters of the channel will be summoned for questioning. Meanwhile, Republic TV has denied the allegations and said that it will file a criminal defamation case against Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh.
