The Delhi High Court on Friday took suo motu cognizance of the various images of marketplaces being circulated on WhatsApp where people were not wearing masks and ignoring Covid-19 protocols.

The court has issued notices to the Centre and Delhi government asking them to file a status report. Delhi High Court has said there is a need for stricter measures in the national capital to prevent further spread of Covid-19 cases.
