West Asia war: Why is it raining missiles and drones in UAE?

The West Asia conflict has intensified as Iran launched missile and drone attacks on Israel, Qatar, the UAE, Kuwait, Lebanon, and Iraq. In response, the US Central Command deployed 5,000-pound GBU-72 bunker buster bombs on Iranian missile installations along the Strait of Hormuz. This action followed Iranian strikes that caused damage in Dubai and a declaration from Iran's Foreign Minister that the strait is closed to enemies. The conflict follows the assassination of senior Iranian official Ali Larijani in an Israeli strike, prompting Iran to crack down on an alleged spy network. The escalating situation has negatively impacted Dubai's tourism and India's medical tourism sector. US President Donald Trump criticised NATO allies for a lack of military support in the region. Concurrently, India's National Investigation Agency arrested seven foreign nationals, including American Matthew Van Dyke, in Mizoram for allegedly planning to train militant groups.
