Nepal has been tense since Monday as Gen Z protesters are up in arms against a controversial social media ban by the KP Sharma Oli-led government. Although the government later lifted the ban and Oli resigned, protests have intensified with demonstrators setting fire to several residences of high-ranking politicians. The Nepal Army has called for calm amid the unrest. Meanwhile, the Vice-Presidential polls are being held today and counting of ballots are underway. With NDA having the numerical advantage, it is expected to be a smooth sail for CP Radhakrishnan, but will the INDIA bloc and B Sudershan Reddy spring a surprise?
