A new political face-off has started between the Modi government and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee after the Centre claimed that madrassas in West Bengal are being used as terror breeding grounds.
The home minister had informed the Lok Sabha of valid intelligence inputs of Bangladesh-based Jamat-ul-Mujahideen allegedly using Madrassas in Bardhaman and Murshidabad districts in the state for terror activities. The report claims that the terror outfit is using Madrassas in these districts to for radicalisation and recruitment of youth.
