Kerala love jihad 'victim' Hadiya first time on camera: Forced conversion or choice?

Twenty four-old Akhila alias Hadiya, whose marriage to her husband Shafeel Jahan was annulled by the Kerala high court, is now in the custody of her father. For the first time, Hadiya has spoken on the camera alleging she is being beaten and tortured in the illegal custody of her father.

In a video, Hadiya is heard pleading, "I want to get out of here. I am being harassed, they will kill me. My father is brutally beating me out". The video raises a number of questions : Is Hadiya being harassed by her own family? Is she being forced to stay confined in her house?

Panelists join India Today's Padmaja Joshi over a discussion on whether this love jihad is fake and is Hadiya being held against her will.
