From Uttarakhand to Tamil Nadu, why are Indians attacking Indians? Experts debate

Twenty-four-year-old Angel Chakma of Nandannagar in West Tripura district was attacked by a group of six people when he objected to a racial slur at Dehradun on December 9 and succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment on December 26. In Tamil Nadu Police, four teenagers assaulted a migrant worker from Odisha near Chennai. He is now critical. While last week in Kearla, a migrant labourer from Chhattisgarh was lynched in Palakkad district and now a video has emerged which shows the attackers questioning him about his identity.
