The Karnataka Waqf Board has moved the Supreme Court seeking an urgent hearing on the Karnataka High Court's order, which allowed Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Idgah Maidan, where Muslims have been offering for prayers for years in Bengaluru's Chamarajpet. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for the Waqf Board, listed the matter before Chief Justice of India U U Lalit.
