Is Aditya L1 going to the Sun? NO

Aditya L1, India's first space-based solar mission, is a significant step forward in understanding the Sun and its impact on our planet.

The mission, developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (Isro), is set to launch on September 2, 2023.

The spacecraft will be placed in a halo orbit around the Lagrange point 1 (L1), approximately 1.5 million km from Earth, providing continuous real-time observations of solar activities and space weather. Aditya L1 carries seven payloads designed to observe different layers of the Sun and study various phenomena such as the solar wind pattern, energy pattern, and the particle flux emanating from the Sun.

The data collected will contribute to a deeper understanding of space weather drivers and could revolutionize our understanding of the Sun's dynamics.
