India secured a commanding win over Bangladesh in their second Super 4 match, booking their place in the Asia Cup final with authority. The innings ended when Tilak Varma bowled a slightly short delivery that Mustafizur lofted straight to Axar Patel at long-off, who took the catch to finish the Bangladesh innings. Mustafizur scored just 6 runs off 11 balls, including a single boundary, failing to make a mark against India’s disciplined bowling. With this win, India became the first team to reach the final, while Sri Lanka were eliminated. Pakistan and Bangladesh will now clash in a knockout match to see who will face India, and although dropped catches of Saif Hassan gave Bangladesh a brief lifeline, India remained firmly in control throughout.

Saif Hassan’s innings comes to an end as he is caught by Axar off Bumrah. Trying to take on the bowler, he skies the ball towards long-on, and although Axar fumbles once, he holds on the second attempt. India is now just one wicket away from securing a spot in the Asia Cup final.

Saif Hassan survives again as Kuldeep Yadav bowls, scoring two runs off a sweep to deep square leg. Abhishek Sharma drops the catch, possibly losing the ball in the lights, giving Saif another lucky escape.

Kuldeep Yadav bowls a tight over, conceding just six runs as Saif Hassan takes singles and pulls a short ball for a couple of runs. Saifuddin also adds a single and a two, while Saif Hassan continues to score smartly, reaching 31 off 14 balls against Axar Patel, the second most by a Bangladesh batter against India in T20Is. Even a wide and some tight fielding can’t stop Bangladesh, who need 61 runs from 5 overs.

Jaker Ali takes a single off Axar, and Saif Hassan survives a dropped catch. He then scores a single to the off-side, while Jaker Ali adds another run. Saif hits a big six over long-off and takes another single, keeping Bangladesh’s hopes alive.

Varun Chakaravarthy struck back after going for runs, clean bowling Shamim Hossain for a duck. Shamim had tried to create room but missed the straighter delivery, leaving his stumps shattered and giving India an important breakthrough.

Kuldeep Yadav kept things tight in his over, mixing up his variations well. Saif Hassan and Towhid Hridoy managed a few singles, but the spinner also beat the bat once with a clever googly. As the game goes on, they’ve done well by varying their pace. Once the ball gets older and softer, it grips the surface more, so it’s not only the spinners who are effective.
