AUS vs NED, World Cup 2023 warm-up game: Match abandoned due to rain

That is it! The game has been called off. It started with rain and the rain won in the end. We saw a good game though. Australia will be happy in the end. Steven Smith, Alex Carey and Cameron Green showed good signs with the bat. Smith scored an impressive fifty. However, the main player for them was Mitchell Starc who showed an all-round performance. First, came up the order to bat and remain 22 not out. Later, with the new ball swinging took Hat-trick and dismantled the Netherlands order. Colin Ackermann was the only one who stayed out and shielded the ball. That is it from this match now. Colin Ackermann was all set to take his team right till the end but the rain god had other plans. Netherlands blew hot and cold. They started well but Shariz Ahmad and Paul van Meekeren leaked runs. The job is done with the ball and to win this match, they have to play in T20 mode. Netherlands do have some power but against the mighty Aussies, it won't be easy. Let's see how the second half pans out. 

Australia will be happy with this score. They did a lot of shuffling to the line-up and gave a couple of players a test. David Warner was rested but Steven Smith did the job on top with a fine fifty. However, didn't get much support as Australia kept losing wickets at the other end. Alex Carey and Cameron Green got a start but just when they tried to move on they fell. Mitchell Starc was sent up the order and was mighty impressive as well.
