Litton Das, the skipper of Bangladesh, says that he isn’t really over the moon after winning three back-to-back series as captain. Adds that as a leader, he always wants to win every series, though he knows it is not always possible. He gives full credit to the team for their hard work over the last two weeks, especially during the camp, where the players put in extra effort in practice. Feels that they executed their plans perfectly and bowled really well on this wicket. Praises the likes of Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed for their consistency, and also points out how Nasum Ahmed, despite not playing much, stepped up and did well. Stresses that the goal is to keep building the team day by day, and that whoever comes into the side has to deliver. Ends by saying that as long as they keep winning, everything will be fine, and now it’s about seeing how they keep progressing.

Nasum Ahmed is adjudged the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his impressive match-winning spell. He expresses his satisfaction with his performance, stating that he felt very good about contributing to the team's cause. He credits the team's preparation for the dew conditions, which involved practising with a wet ball during warm-ups, and appreciates the support he received from his teammates. Mentions that he had played a match at the same venue two years ago and had done well then as well, making his current performance all the more special.

The skipper of the Netherlands, Scott Edwards, says that it was a pretty ordinary performance from their side and a disappointing one overall. Admits that they didn’t assess the conditions well, with the pitch playing on the slower side, and in hindsight, they could have done much better. Feels that the Bangladesh bowlers were clinical, and things might have been different had they managed to put 170-180 on the board. Earlier in the game, the Netherlands' batting lineup struggled against Bangladesh's disciplined bowling and sharp fielding. The Dutch team managed just 103 runs in 17.3 overs, with Nasum Ahmed setting the tone by claiming two early wickets. The Bangladeshi bowlers continued to apply pressure, striking at regular intervals and dismantling the Dutch batting order. Despite Aryan Dutt's valiant effort, scoring 30 off 24 balls, the Netherlands' batting lineup couldn't recover from the early setbacks. Nasum Ahmed was the standout bowler for Bangladesh, claiming 3 wickets for 21 runs in his 4-over spell. Taskin Ahmed and Mustafizur Rahman also made significant contributions, taking 2 wickets each.

The credit must go to the Bangladeshi bowlers, who hunted in pairs and maintained intensity throughout, validating their skipper's decision to bowl first. Nasum was the pick of the lot with 3 for 21, while Taskin and Mustafizur chipped in with two wickets each. Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Mahedi Hasan also got into the act. Bangladesh’s fielding too was sharp, shown in a direct-hit run out and good ground coverage, barring one dropped chance early on. With just 104 needed for victory, Bangladesh will now walk out to bat with full confidence, looking to wrap this up and secure the series in style. The chase is about to begin, so don't go anywhere!

Mushtaq Ahmad, Bangladesh's bowling coach, shares insights on the team's preparations, highlighting the bowlers' hard work and notable performance from Mahedi. He emphasises the importance of players being given the freedom to play their natural game, which has led to positive outcomes. Ahmad also praises the team's outstanding fielding effort. Looking ahead to the Asia Cup, he stresses the need for the team to adjust well to the conditions, believing that better adaptation will benefit the side.

The match began with a fiery spell from Nasum Ahmed, who struck twice in the third over, sending both Max O'Dowd and Teja Nidamanuru back on two consecutive balls. That double blow set the tone, and although Vikramjit tried to counter with some crisp boundaries, his dismissal at 24 left the Netherlands wobbling. The middle order could not offer any resistance as the wickets kept tumbling - Scott Edwards, Shariz Ahmad, and Noah Croes all fell in soft dismissals, adding pressure to an already struggling batting unit. Only Aryan Dutt showed some intent down the order with his 30 off 24, but his effort was too little, too late.

LACKLUSTER AND CLINICAL. Those should be the two words for the batting of the Netherlands and the bowling of Bangladesh, respectively, going on for a break after the first inning. Bangladesh have absolutely tightened their grip on this series with a ruthless bowling display, bundling the Netherlands out for just 103 in 17.3 overs. A batting collapse of the highest order from the visitors, where Aryan Dutt, batting at number nine, ended up as their top-scorer with 30. That alone sums up the story of the innings. Apart from a couple of early strokes from Vikramjit Singh, nothing much went right for the Dutch, as their impatience and poor shot selection only made matters worse. For Bangladesh, every bowler contributed with precision and fire, making the target look well within reach and pushing the hosts closer to sealing the series.

DRINKS! Bangladesh are all over the Netherlands in the second T20I too as they have chipped in five wickets inside the halfway through the inning after electing to bowl first. Firstly, their bowlers were exceptional, and apart from that drop of Tanzim Hasan Sakib, their fielding has also been pretty impressive in the field which we saw on the last ball. The pressure is mounting on the Netherlands, and they have been outplayed again. With that, Sikander Zulfiqar walks out to bat next.

It seems very close as Noah Croes tried to drag his bat, but the ball had whipped the bails off at the same time. The third umpire notices that there is nothing of the bat inside the crease after checking side on replays from both sides, and OUT comes on the giant screen.

All is set for the action to kick off. The second T20I match between Bangladesh and Netherlands is about to kickstart at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. Max O'Dowd and Vikramjit Singh are set to open for the Netherlands, while Mahedi Hasan will bowl the first over for Bangladesh.

Julian Wood, the power-hitting coach of Bangladesh, is up for a quick chat before the match. He says that he joined the setup about five months ago, starting with the women’s team before moving into the men’s side. Some players, he explains, are natural power hitters, and that part can’t be taught, but his role is to help them become more consistent and pick the right boundaries to target.
