ICC World Cup Qualifiers 2023 Super Sixes: Netherlands reach World Cup after defeating Scotland by 4 wickets

Scott Edwards says he is extremely happy, loss for words. Adds it was next level by Bas de Leede and Saqib Zulfiqar in the last 20 overs. Reckons the group is incredible, they are putting the hard work. Shares they were confident to chase this down as they played well throughout the tournament. Mentions it was a good wicket to bat but it got different when Netherlands were batting. Tells he is happy that a couple of batters cashed in. Says Bas de Leede deserves a statue, he is an unbelievable player and hope it is not the last time he played like this.

Richie Berrington says it is a tough one to take and the players are hurting. Credits the way Netherlands played. Shares they managed to get momentum in the middle phase but Netherlands batted well, ran between the wickets well. Applauds the way Bas de Leede played. Netherlands had to chase it down around the 44th over. The openers gave a good start, the intent was there right from the start but Netherlands needed that one big performance and it came from Bas de Leede. Scott Edwards and Saqib Zulfiqar too played a good hand but it was Bas de Leede who made things possible. The Dutch just were not at their best with the ball first up, they could not use the conditions that well and the spinners in the middle overs were also not at their best. They though pulled back things really well towards the end and that is thanks to Bas de Leede who was the pick with a five-fer. Had it not been for him, the Dutch would have been chasing a lot more. Now it is onto their batters. They have been in good form but they are coming up against a really good bowling side. Can they gun this down? We will find out.

Netherlands have managed to pull things back nicely but we believe, Scotland have a score which we feel is above par here. They lost a wicket early but then Brandon McMullen. Batted really well. He played nicely along with Richie Berrington! The two added over 100 with Brandon McMullen scoring a brilliant ton. When they were batting, 300 looked possible but they lost a few wickets towards the end. Tomas Mackintosh though played really well to take them close to 280.
