PLAYER OF THE THE MATCH - Jacob Duffy wins the award for his incredible spell of 3/22. He describes it as an awesome experience to make his IPL debut, adding that he had heard a lot of good things about Bengaluru and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Duffy shares that the new ball did a bit, and he feels lucky to be able to contribute to the team's effort. Time to hear from Virat Kohli - Kohli says it's good to be back playing T20 cricket again. He feels the way he batted lately in the ODI format has helped him carry the same momentum into this format. He adds that as long as he has his rhythm, things tend to fall into place, especially with the work he has put into his fitness. Virat also reflects on the workload over the last 15 years, admitting there is always a risk of burnout. He says the extra rest has helped him stay fresh, both mentally and physically, and return with the right mindset. VK emphasises that he doesn’t want to just hold onto his spot, but continue performing and contributing to the team. Tough day out for SRH attack - Not much went right for Sunrisers Hyderabad with the ball as they looked short of ideas and were inconsistent with their lines and lengths throughout. They needed early wickets in the Powerplay and did get one through Jaydev Unadkat, but were then completely blown away by RCB's batting firepower. David Payne managed to pick up a couple of wickets, while Harsh Dubey chipped in with one, but none of the bowlers could keep things tight. It turned into a tough outing for Ishan Kishan, both as a skipper and behind the stumps, with plenty for SRH to reflect on.

A sensational catch to end Ishan Kishan's sensational knock. And it needed a special effort to stop Ishan's blitz. The SunRisers stand-in captain is out for 80. 

Ishan tried to slice Abhinandan Singh's full delivery into the point boundary, but Salt ran from the cover region and grabbed a diving catch, a one-handed diving catch.

Salil Arora is an explosive 23-year-old wicketkeeper-batter from Punjab who has quickly become a standout in the Indian domestic circuit. Born in Amritsar, he first made headlines with a stunning century on his First-Class debut in the 2024 Ranji Trophy.

However, it was his record-breaking performance in the 2025-26 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy that turned him into a household name; he smashed an unbeaten 125 off just 45 balls against Jharkhand. His ability to clear the ropes-hitting 28 sixes in that tournament-earned him a ?1.5 crore contract with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 2026 IPL auction. RCB vs SRH Live: A terrific catch from Phil Salt

That was too close to call. Phil Salt takes a fine catch, positioning himself well in the long-on boundary. He was quite close to the boundary rope, and he also rolled after taking the catch.

The umpires needed the third umpire's help. It appeared from one angle that the boundary cushion moved when he took the catch. But, it was not. 

In the end, Heinrich Klaasen, who made 31, had to walk off. He was not happy, but he accepted his fate.

A 97-run stand came to an end.

He does not get it from the middle of the bat, and the ball flies high in the air. Phil Salt, near the ropes, settles under the high ball and takes the catch. However, he loses his balance and rolls over, with his foot very close to the ropes. The third umpire is called in to check whether any part of his body touches the ropes or not. From one of the angles, it looks like the cushions just moved, but the third umpire, after watching a few different angles, deems that it is a fair catch. Klaasen looks a bit bemused but has to accept the decision in the end.

A terrific knock this from Ishan Kishan. He got to his fifty in just 27 balls. And he launched into Suyash Sharma, hitting three boundaries against the leg-spinner. 

The stand-in captain has led from the front wonderfully well. He released the pressure in the sixth over, smashing debutant Abhinandan Singh for 18 runs. Ishan hasn't looked back since. He has targetted every single bowler, but has played with a lot of sense and situational awareness.

Ishan Kishan launched into Abhinandan Singh, the debutant, and collected 16 runs from it. His counter-attacking approach has taken SunRisers to a decent powerplay score - 49 for 3. 

Jacob Duffy was the star of the powerplay for RCB. Replacing Josh Hazlewood, the New Zealand pacer hit the lengths that Hazlewood loves -- short and good length. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma failed while trying to push the pedal while Nitish Kumar Reddy was undone by the extra bounce.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled wonderfully well, complementing Duffy and not giving the SunRisers enough room to free their hands. 

It has been perfect for the defending champions so far.
