Rajasthan Royals made it three wins in three, cruising to a commanding 27-run victory in a rain-hit 11-over contest to maintain their perfect start, while Mumbai Indians slumped to consecutive defeats after their opening win. Despite conditions favouring the bowlers, RR piled on a daunting total riding on a blazing start from Jaiswal and Sooryavanshi, and their bowlers ensured it was never threatened. Archer and Burger struck early, but it was Sandeep Sharma’s incisive spell — including Rohit’s key wicket — that broke MI’s back, as the chase unraveled inside the powerplay and never truly recovered.

Mumbai Indians’ slide continued as the ninth wicket fell in chaotic fashion, with Trent Boult run out thanks to Jofra Archer’s sharp presence of mind. Boult, looking to sneak a quick single, was caught short as Archer pounced swiftly and executed a direct hit, leaving MI staring at a heavy defeat with their tail in tatters.

Sandeep Sharma struck again as Shardul Thakur gifted a simple catch with a mistimed pull. The back-of-a-length delivery on off held up slightly, catching Shardul early into his shot, and the ball lobbed tamely into the air. Trying to keep the chase alive, Dhir backs himself against a quick, full delivery but fails to find the middle, lofting it straight to Ravi Bishnoi. With the last recognised batter gone for a brisk 25, the innings now looks all but over.

Tushar Deshpande had the final say against Sherfane Rutherford, striking just when it mattered. He bowled a clever slower ball angled across, tempting Rutherford into a big shot, only for him to mistime it. Sandeep Sharma held his nerve and took a fine catch, ending Rutherford’s quickfire 25 off 8 balls and giving the Royals a crucial breakthrough.

Tushar Deshpande had a tough over as Sherfane Rutherford took charge and kept the game alive with two big sixes. One was a full toss on the body that he helped over long leg, and the other was smashed over deep extra cover after a missed yorker. There was also a wide in the over, while Naman Dhir added a boundary and a single, as Deshpande leaked plenty of runs at a crucial time.

Ravi Bishnoi nearly had his man, but Sherfane Rutherford rode his luck and skill to turn the tide. A thick outside edge flew just over Riyan Parag, possibly brushing his fingertips, before Rutherford followed it up with a clever sliced boundary past backward point, helped by a misjudged dive from Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. In between, Naman Dhir nudged a single to keep things moving, while another uppish push from Rutherford safely cleared Bishnoi. It was a busy over, with Rutherford finding boundaries and a bit of fortune to keep the scoreboard ticking.

Naman Dhir is trying to fight back with a quick cameo at the end. He pulled a short ball for a big six and then guided another to third man for four. There was even a run-out chance, but he survived and kept adding a few more runs to keep the pressure on.

Ravi Bishnoi has turned the game on its head here, striking twice in the same over as Tilak Varma falls to a soft dismissal. Tossed up invitingly just outside leg, Tilak went for the big hit but closed the bat face too early, sending a simple catch to Shimron Hetmyer at deep mid-wicket. Mumbai Indians are in deep trouble now, with half their side back in the pavilion and Bishnoi once again proving his knack for breaking games wide open.

Ravi Bishnoi delivers yet again in his first over, striking a crucial blow by removing Hardik Pandya just when Mumbai Indians needed him most. The quicker delivery, held back in length, tempted Hardik into going big, but he ended up mistiming it high on the bat. Yashasvi Jaiswal judged it well at long-on, moving to his left to complete a tidy catch. Hardik departs for a brief 9 off 6, and Gujarat Titans have been spot on with their execution.

Mumbai Indians are in desperate need of boundaries and a late surge, but it has been a mixed bag against Tushar Deshpande so far. Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya have managed a couple of much-needed fours, showing intent, but the momentum keeps slipping with dots, extras, and missed opportunities in between. Hardik in particular is swinging hard without much timing, while Tilak looks the more composed of the two. With the required rate climbing, MI need to find the ropes far more consistently or this chase could quickly drift away.

Sandeep Sharma strikes gold with the beauty of a yorker as Rohit Sharma is trapped plumb in front, and that is crashing into the base of middle stump. The numbers tell a grim story for Rohit against Sandeep in the IPL—just 38 runs off 47 balls with six dismissals.

It’s a baffling review from Rohit, who had clearly premeditated the lap and missed it completely. With Jurel up to the stumps, Sandeep kept it straight and full, and MI lose both a key wicket and a review in one blow, slipping further into trouble.

Nandre Burger was swept for a six for Suryakumar Yadav, but it is the RR pacer who gets the revenge in the end. The shot Suryakumar lacked power and he holes out in the deep. It seems like MI are losing any sort of momentum in Guwahati and it is all RR at the moment. Tilak Varma comes to the middle and joins Rohit.

On the contrary to the MI bowling effort, Jofra Archer begins with good pace and doesn't give away anything to Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickleton. The fifth ball disappears for a six but the next one brings in the wicket of Rickleton as Dhruv Jurel completes a sensational catch. Mumbai are under the pump early in the run chase. 

MI are 10 for one in the first over. Suryakumar Yadav joins Rohit in the middle. 

If this was a fireworks show, Yashasvi Jaiswal brought the grand finale early and then some. Unbeaten on a breathtaking 77 off just 32, he toyed with Shardul Thakur in that last over, treating a wayward full toss like a polite invitation and thumping it over extra cover with a grin and a firm fist pump. There were scoops, guides, and a touch of cheek, especially that clever little move across to lap it fine, while poor Shardul seemed to be searching for answers in all the wrong places. Amid the chaos, Shimron Hetmyer chipped in without quite finding top gear, but by then Jaiswal had already stolen the show, marching Rajasthan Royals to a rather handsome 150 with the swagger of a man who knew exactly what he was doing.

Even Jasprit Bumrah has his "oops" moments, and Yashasvi Jaiswal was quick to cash in! A rare yorker gone rogue turned into a juicy slot ball, and Jaiswal didn't need a second invitation-boom, straight into the stands. Bumrah knew it the instant it left the bat, arching back in frustration as if to say, "Not that one!" Cricket, eh-blink and even the best get bossed.

RR are 131 for 3 in 10 overs. How much will RR finish with?

AM Ghazanfar gave his team a big breakthrough by dismissing Riyan Parag. Parag was batting well and even hit a big six, but when he tried to go for another shot, he was caught by Tilak Varma at long-on. Yashasvi Jaiswal also scored a boundary and a single in the over. Ghazanfar bowled a tidy over overall and helped stop Rajasthan’s momentum at an important time.

Hardik Pandya errs in line and Yashasvi Jaiswal makes him pay—short and wide, and Jaiswal slashes it hard to deep point for four. That brings up back-to-back fifties for the southpaw, and more importantly, powers RR past the 100-run mark in just 7.3 overs. Pure dominance.

Jasprit Bumrah returned to the attack and immediately tightened things up after Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s departure, conceding just singles and keeping the batters in check. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Riyan Parag opted for caution, rotating strike rather than taking risks, although Parag did manage a clever boundary with a late, delicate shot that even drew a smile from Bumrah. Overall, it was a controlled over, with Bumrah’s variations making scoring difficult.

Dhruv Jurel tried to play across the line but missed a quick, straight delivery from AM Ghazanfar, with the ball sneaking past his bat and hitting him on the pads. The impact was right in front, and Ghazanfar went up in a loud appeal, with the umpire raising his finger. Jurel knew he was in trouble but still went for a review, only to see it go in vain as he walked back for 2 off 3 balls.
