Mohammed Siraj, the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his outstanding bowling figures of 4/17. Siraj expressed his joy playing in his hometown with his family watching from the stands. He said that his recent break has helped him improve his fitness and mental approach, allowing him to stay in the present. Siraj opened up about his struggles with a recent slump, but he made a conscious decision to keep working hard and use the break from cricket to recharge and regroup himself. He also shared that being dropped from the national team for a major ICC event was a significant setback, but he maintained his faith and kept his focus on improving, which ultimately is paying off.

The skipper of Gujarat Titans, Shubman Gill, says that bowlers are game-changers and especially in this T20 format, the bowlers win matches. Adds that he played good cricketing shots and that the chat between him and Sundar was to have good intent and play their shots. Mentions that Washington was about to play in the match against Mumbai Indians, but they brought in an extra bowler with the impact player rule, but he is a fantastic player and has shown us today. Further says that it was all about forming a good partnership of 30-40 runs there and to make this chase cut short. Washington Sundar shared his thoughts on his recent performance, crediting his captain's advice to keep things simple for his success. He noted that the wicket tends to improve in the second innings, making it easier to chase as the ball comes onto the bat better under the lights. Sundar also expressed his enjoyment of spending time with the bat in the middle.

The skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Pat Cummins, says that it wasn’t a traditional wicket, which used to be here, and it was very tough to get fluency on this wicket, and thus, it was difficult to bat on. Adds that they didn't get as much spin as they would have thought, and the batters of Gujarat batted really well. Mentions that there was a toss-up between Simarjeet Singh and Rahul Chahar, but as they looked at the end of the first inning, batting was harder against pacers, and thus, they brought in Simarjeet. 

Earlier in the game, after being put into bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad once again struggled at the top, losing their top three wickets cheaply and failing to gain early momentum. ... THE RUN CHASE ...

At the halfway stage, the Gujarat Titans are a bit ahead in this contest. With their top order in terrific form and the pitch still looking good to bat on, this chase should be well within their grasp. They’ll be eyeing a third-straight win to keep their momentum going. For the Sunrisers, they desperately need a win here, and for that, they need early wickets in the Powerplay and a flawless bowling performance to defend this below-par score. Can they pull it off, or will Gujarat cruise home comfortably? Stick around, as the action of the second inning is just moments away!

Mohammed Siraj of the Gujarat Titans is up for a chat. He says he is currently enjoying his form, attributing his success to the hard work he put in during the break to improve his fitness and mental strength. He feels refreshed and is taking pleasure in his bowling. Siraj believes that saliva on the ball has been a significant factor in their success, particularly in the death overs where they've been able to achieve reverse swing. He notes that the slower wicket prompted him to attack the stumps early on. Siraj thinks the opposing team managed to score about 10 runs more than they should have. However, he's confident that GT will still be able to chase down the target.

On the other side, the Gujarat Titans were absolutely clinical in both bowling and fielding. They applied pressure right from the start and forced SRH batters into making mistakes. Mohammed Siraj was fiery with both new and old ball, removing both openers early in the Powerplay and finishing with impressive figures of 4/17 overall at the end, which is his best figures in IPL so far. Sai Kishore tightened the screws in the middle overs, picking up key wickets of well-set Nitish and dangerous Heinrich Klaasen. Prasidh Krishna also chipped in with two important breakthroughs to derail SRH’s innings further, but only Ishant Sharma went expensive as he gave away 53 runs in his four overs.

Nitish Kumar Reddy, who top-scored for SRH with 31 off 34 balls, struggled to find rhythm throughout his stay. His inning lacked fluency and intent, which slowed down the scoring rate in the middle overs. Toward the end, Aniket Verma and the skipper Pat Cummins struck a few boundaries to push the score past the 150 mark, trying their best to give their bowlers something to fight with. But the big question remains - is this total enough on a decent batting surface?

These last couple of hits have powered Sunrisers Hyderabad past the 150 mark, but overall, the batting has struggled for SRH yet again in this match, much like their previous three games in the tournament. They could only post a modest total of 152/8, which clearly reflects another collective failure with the bat. The team managed just one fifty-run partnership, and although every batter in the top six managed to hit a couple of boundaries at least, none of them could carry on to play a substantial knock. It has been a classic case of starts without conversion.

Siraj goes very full and nails the yorker that tails back into the batter, on middle and leg, Aniket Verma takes his front leg out and looks to jam it out but misses onto the back pad, right in front of the stumps. The UltraEdge shows no spike, and the Ball Tracking shows the ball to be crashing into middle and leg with all three reds. Aniket Verma departs and takes the last review with him too. The pitch isn't suited for the style of play that Sunrisers Hyderabad are known for, and they are struggling big time here. Despite Rashid Khan going wicketless, the early breakthroughs from Mohammed Siraj and the way Sai Kishore has bowled in the middle phase have got the Gujarat Titans on top of the home side. STRATEGIC BREAK! Gujarat Titans are all over Sunrisers Hyderabad at the moment, as they have sent their top three back early. All the top three batters got a start, but they threw their wicket away, and SRH are into early trouble here. They need a big partnership, and their biggest retention, Heinrich Klaasen, is at the crease for now. They will hope to have him till the end to have a good score on a pitch, which is holding a bit and isn't the easiest one to bat on. On the other hand, GT just need to chip in two or three more wickets, and they will enter into the lower order of SRH. Who will come out on top? An interesting passage of play is ahead of us, and with that, Sai Kishore comes into the attack.

Travis Head of Sunrisers Hyderabad is up for a quick chat. He says that they have played best with that attacking approach, and different guys play individually with their game plan. Adds that, though, they have a strong batting lineup, but it doesn’t work every night, and it is all about individually taking responsibility when their chances come. Head says that he's hopeful that they will win tonight, and they want to do well in this game. Mentions that it feels good to be back here in Hyderabad, and he is excited to play.

Pat Cummins, the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad, says they would have bowled first as well but are more than happy to bat first too. Mentions that the intent will remain the same and they love batting on this ground. Adds that as a team, they are not timid and are really looking at positives and doing well. Concludes that they have one change with Harshal Patel missing out due to some illness and Jaydev Unadkat making it to the playing XI.

The skipper of Gujarat Titans, Shubman Gill, says that they are going to bowl first as it looks like a slowish wicket, and they have been playing on the black soil in the previous two games, which tends to be sluggish. Adds that they have been playing fantastic cricket, so the message has been pretty clear to go out and adapt to the conditions very well. States that they have really good memories in the past three years, and they just try to bond well with everyone. Informs that Washington Sundar comes in place of Arshad Khan.
