Kolkata Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore revealed all the precautionary measures that the franchise took after 2 players from their team tested positive for Covid-19 on Monday. KKR suffered a big blow on May 3 when they got the news of spinner Varun Chakravarthy and seamer Sandeep Warrier's positive test results.
All the players and franchise officials immediately went into isolation while their match against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Ahmedabad got rescheduled. 2 more players contracted the virus on Tuesday before the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) finally decided to suspend IPL 2021 due to the rising number of Covid cases in the tournament.
Venky Mysore, who is currently quarantining in his hotel room in Ahmedabad where KKR were stationed, spoke to India Today's Boria Majumdar and explained in detail about all the measures that they took immediately after the Covid test results.
