Right then, that's it from the coverage of this game. The action in the Indian T20 League continues on 8th April, that too, with a double-header coming your way. The first match will be played between Rajasthan and Delhi which will start at 3.30 pm IST (10 am GMT) followed by a thrilling encounter at the Wankhede Stadium, where Mumbai will be locking horns against Chennai. Krunal Pandya is the Player of the Match for taking 3 wickets for 18 runs with the ball and scoring 34 runs in 23 balls with the bat. He says that it was a very good day in the office and says that everything was special about his performance in this game. Claims that he knew he would be bowling four overs since there were a lot of right-handers in the opposition. Mentions that he has got great clarity in his head and is feeling good about himself. Explains that his plans have been process driven and he does not think about results coming off. Adds that he took a break from playing cricket in the last four-five months and then began working on his skills, especially his bowling. KL Rahul, the victorious skipper says that he knew how the wicket is going to play since yesterday. Adds that it was a no brainer to get Pandya early into the attack. On being asked about his preference, is it red soil or the black one, he informs that it does not matter what wicket they play on, until and unless they are winning. Mentions victory on both the decks requires hard-work in the end, and that's what matters. Amit Mishra now is in for a flash interview as well. He says that he is feeling good and he claims that he has done a lot of work to keep himself in contention. Explains that if he bowls fast, it is easy for the batters so he tries to vary his pace. About his catch, he mentions that he tries to do whatever he can do while he is fielding. Adds that he got a little bit of time to go for it and more than him, Jonty Rhodes is happy with the catch. Explains that he feels the red soil has more bounce and spin but on black soil the ball keeps low and there is not much spin.

Aiden Markram, the skipper of Hyderabad says that they would have liked to get to around 160 but the batters could not get going. Mentions that they knew it wasn't going to be a great wicket for batting and they had to fight hard but the opposition bowled well which did not allow them to get going. Adds that they didn't give the bowlers enough to work with but they fought hard and if they had given them 40 runs more, it would have been a good game. Ends by saying that it will be a new start in the next game and that gives them an opportunity to make things right.

Earlier in the innings, after being put to bat first, Hyderabad batters were taken aback looking at the conditions on offer. Only Anmolpreet Singh and Rahul Tripathi got off to good starts, but except for them, no one really got going. In the fag end, Abdul Samad hit a few lusty blows and gave something for the bowlers to fight for. Eventually, it proved to be well under par on this uneventful deck.

Defending 121 runs was never going to be easy for Hyderabad, but one might've thought they had a sniff here looking at the conditions on offer, with the black-soil deck coming into play in this encounter. Although, for Hyderabad, none of their spinners could make the most of it early on until Adil Rashid struck on consecutive deliveries in the 15th over. The three seamers Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, and Fazalhaq Farooqi, the impact player, chipped in with a wicket each. Also, one can say, their fielders also let them down, as they did not really back their bowlers with tight fielding.

A dominating victory for Lucknow. It is their second win of the season, out of the three matches played so far. KL Rahul played a skipper's knock on a wicket that favored the spinners majorly, although it looked like he was batting on some other deck. He used his feet really well and capitalized almost on all the bad balls that came his way. After losing Kyle Mayers and Deepak Hooda in quick succession. Krunal Pandya joined him at the crease. The two batters stitched a solid stand of 55 runs which helped them get near the victory line. In the end, Nicholas Pooran and Marcus Stoinis applied the finishing touches. 

A walk in the park for Lucknow, that's what this chase turned out to be. It was one-way traffic throughout the inning and Lucknow have outclassed Hyderabad at home. Hyderabad have started their campaign with two consecutive losses. They will head straight to the drawing board.

Right then, an interesting run chase is coming our way as this should be a routine effort for the hosts but with the track behaving funny, Hyderabad are in with a sniff. A few early wickets could send jitters into the dressing room and it could make it difficult for the new batters to get in. Lucknow will want their openers to set a solid foundation for this tricky run chase. Will we see a tightly-contested low-scoring offer? Or will Lucknow make this a walk in the park? Ravi Bishnoi is up for a chat and he says that the wicket was very difficult to bat on. Mentions 120 is a very dicey score but they will try to finish things off early. Informs that he knew Harry Brook is going to charge down the track and is glad that his variations worked out well this time. 

Hyderabad lost Mayank Agarwal early but Anmolpreet Singh looked to be aggressive and scored an unconvincing 31 in 26 deliveries before being dismissed. Aiden Markram was dismissed on a golden duck and Harry Brook did not disturb the scorers much. Rahul Tripathi and Washington Sundar looked to rebuild their innings but four quick wickets after the dismissal of the former stunted their late charge for a good total. A few good hits by Abdul Samad pushed them beyond the 120-run mark but the batters left the bowlers with an uphill task to climb.

This has been a really difficult wicket to bat on but Hyderabad has fought back after a poor start to give their bowler’s something to bowl at! They managed to post 121 runs on the board but a few quick wickets towards the end prevented them from getting 10-15 runs more which they would have liked. Lucknow started with their pace bowlers but instantly realized that the pitch was better suited to spin and the introduction of Krunal Pandya resulted in them getting the breakthrough. The spinners took over from there with Krunal Pandya the pick of the bowlers claiming 3 wickets for 18 runs in his four overs. Ravi Bishnoi took one wicket and Amit Mishra claimed two in death overs with Yash Thakur chipping in with one.
