Paris Olympics opening ceremony: India's stunning look for Parade of Nations

The Indian team revealed their outfits for the Paris Olympics opening ceremony on Saturday, 26 July.

78 Indian athletes are participating alongside officials from 12 disciplines. The contingent will be present on a boat and will arrive through the river Seine which runs through Paris.

The Indian contingent looked at their traditional best for the Parade of Nations. The Indian contingent wore a unique blend of tri-colour in their traditional clothing. While the men wore kurtas, the women were dressed in sarees.

PV Sindhu posted her photos on Instagram. She said that it was the greatest honour of her life to hold the national flag in front of million people.

The Paris 2024 Olympics Opening Ceremony will kick off 16 days of elite competition across 32 disciplines. For the first time in Olympic history, the opening ceremony will take place outside a traditional stadium.

The parade will start at Austerlitz Bridge and culminate at Trocadéro, in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower. The remaining elements of the Olympic protocol and final shows will take place. During the parade, performers will join the delegations and passengers on the boats, adding to the spectacle and grandeur of the event.
